About Us
Valley Innovation Alliance (VIA) is the local workforce and economic development region created through the Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) initiative awarded through the Department of Labor. VIA, 501(c) 3 non-profit, is dedicated to maximizing and connecting workforce and economic development and innovation across the Tennessee Valley region, a 23 county area spanning across south central Tennessee and northern Alabama.
VIA Focuses on Three Key Goals:
Regional Collaboration and Partnership – Connect regions, technologies, and industries to build a regional network that maximizes regional assets to achieve and sustain an economic advantage.
Cultivating cluster-based STEM competencies– Increase the size and quality of the Tennessee Valley workforce necessary to support and grow the targeted industry sectors by developing an educational pipeline that promotes careers in these industries, prepares students for successful careers at all levels, and enables lifelong learning in these high growth fields:

Entrepreneurism / Technology Transformation – Create an entrepreneurial climate that encourages, supports, and finances business development and growth in our targeted industries working through partnerships.
